About Just Plane Crazy

Welcome to Just Plane Crazy. We are a small consulting firm operating in Beltsville, Maryland, just outside our nation's capital. A wide range of management and technical services are available including: technical writing; computer application analysis, design and implementation; business plan development; desktop and web site publishing; and computer technology evaluation.

Our primary business focus is writing computer books. We have written books for a variaty of publishers, including: Que, Microsoft Press, Sams, Sybex, Ventana and Prima. While we specialize primarily in books about Visual Basic and Microsoft Office, we also write books for the novice computer users and books about the Internet and client/server computing.

Prior to writing computer books, we created a shareware application called Car Collector. This application allows collectors of Hot Wheels, Matchboxes, Racing Champions, Johnny Lightnings and other brands of die cast cars to keep information about their collection in a database, complete with pictures and specifications of each car and an evaluation of the car's condition. Car Collector also includes a series of standard reports, a complex query facility and the ability to maintain multiple independent car collections.

In case you were wondering, Just Plane Crazy isn't misspelled. The name comes from Wayne's interest in airplanes, specifically the P-51 Mustang. His long term goal is to get his pilot's license and then get certified in a P-51. However our domain name, JustPC also reflects our interest in Personal Computers.
